UJI KETERTARIKAN NYAMUK TERHADAP WARNA PIYAMA (ATTRACTION TEST OF MOSQUITO TOWARDS THE PAJAMAS COLOR)

Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever is a disease that often causes outbreaks and can
cause death. Until now no vaccine has been found so that the eradication is still based on
the termination of the transmission chain such as eradicating mosquito nests. Some of the
factors that influence the process of laying mosquitoes include the type of container, the
color of the container, water, temperature, water source, humidity and environmental
conditions. this study aims to determine the attraction of aedes mosquitoes. the color in
pajamas. With 6 color comparison parameters, namely black, blue, green, yellow, white,
and pink. This research was conducted from 15-29 December 2018 at the SMAIT Iqra
’Laboratory in Bengkulu City. The observations showed that the most mosquitoes were
found in the ovitrap coated with black cloth. Black captures many mosquitoes with 13
mosquitoes trapped in the ovitrap followed by blue and pink with 3 mosquitoes trapped
in the ovitrap and green with 2 mosquitoes trapped, while the white and yellow colors are
not trapped mosquitoes. The analysis shows that the diversity of colors produces the
number of Ae mosquitoes. aegypti was caught which differed significantly in each type of
ovitrap color, so the use of black colored pajamas is not recommended to wear during
sleep.
