HUBUNGAN ANTARA HARI SEKOLAH DAN MANDI PAGI PADA SISWA SMAN 4 MERAUKE (RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SCHOOL DAYS AND MORNING BATH IN STUDENTS OF SMAN 4 MERAUKE)

Abstract

Morning bathing is usually done by students during school days. If there is a school holiday, there is a shower and some do not take a bath. This study aims to determine whether or not there is a relationship between school days and morning bathing. This research method uses research instruments with questionnaires and documentation guidelines. The research subjects were students of SMAN 4 Merauke, totalling 244 people. The sample amounted to 71 people with the sampling technique using Simple Random Sampling. Data analysis uses descriptive statistical techniques and is presented in the form of fermentation distribution tables. To see the relationship between two variables of school day and morning bath, ChiSquare statistical test was performed. The results of the study showed that on the day of entering the school which always bathed in the morning as many as 66 children, sometimes taking a morning bath as many as 5 children. While on school holidays which always take a shower in the morning as many as 24 children, sometimes bathing in the morning as many as 41 children and never bathing as many as 6 children. Statistical analysis obtained X2count = 53.777, and X2table = 5.991 then X2count> X2table so that Ho is rejected. This means that there is a significant relationship between school days and morning bathing for students of SMAN 4 Merauke. The value of the correlation strength = 0.52 means that the strength of the correlation between school days and morning bathing in SMAN 4 Merauke students is quite strong.
