PRINCESS OF THE MASK (PARA WANITA BERTOPENG MAKE UP DALAM PERSEPSI LELAKI DI SMA PGRI 2 KAYEN)

Abstract

The trend of using make up among female students lately was increasingly
prevalent. School girls who use makeup like using masks because real faces are
manipulated by various types of cosmetics. Whereas the use of make up in schools was
a form of violation in the medium-heavy category. The use of make up that was not in
accordance with the rules causes negative impacts physically and psychologically.
Based on observations, as many as 66.6% of female students who use make up to school
have the motivation to look beautiful. Therefore, it was necessary to conduct a study
to find out whether there was a relationship/correlation between the use of makeup
and the formation of beautiful perceptions by male students. With this research it was
expected to be a consideration for the use of makeup among girls students.
This research was conducted through a questionnaire method with closed
answers on 67 samples of male students in class XI. Data analysis performed was
univariate with SPSS IBM 22 to determine the acquisition of frequency, validity and
normality of data. Correlation test is done by bivariate analysis of Pearson moment
products so that the conclusion is a positive and significant correlation between the
use of makeup and the formation of physical beauty and inner beauty perception of
students in the view of men.
