HUBUNGAN ANTARA JIDAT NONONG (JENONG) DENGAN KEPINTARAN SISWA KELAS XI SMA STRADA SANTO THOMAS AQUINO TANGERANG (RELATION BETWEEN JIDAT NONONG (JENONG) AND STUDENTS’ INTELLIGENCE AT XI GRADE AT STRADA SANTO THOMAS AQUINO TANGERANG)

Abstract

Nonong forehead people (jenong) tend to be said smart people. This myth is
still circulating among the wider community. This study aims to test and prove the
relationship that the intelligence level of jenong people is not always higher than nonjenong
people. The research samples are students of class XI IPA and XI IPS Strada
Santo Thomas Aquino High School which are categorized into 2 categories, namely the
sample of nonong nominated (jenong) and non-nominated nonong (jenong). The
sample conducts a questionnaire test in the form of general knowledge questions taken
based on the easy, medium, hard category and also a logic ability test, accompanied by
measurements of head width and head length using a measuring tape. The research
method is applied by qualitative data collection and strengthen by paired samples test
(T-test) for every total score from every sample, so that the result showed 0,973 > 0,05
significance score (2-tailed), therefore there is no significant difference between
Jenong forehead total score and non-jenong forehead. However, there is 0,1 point
difference between jenong forehead total score and non-jenong forehead. Although
the difference is not significant, it can be concluded that jenong forehead people
smarter than non-jenong forehead people, nonetheless the jenong forehead people is
not always smarter than the non-jenong people.
