Abstract

Instant noodles are a food choice when someone feels hungry and needs fast
food. Besides giving deliciousness, instant noodles also give someone a feeling of
fullness after eating it. In fact, sometimes, someone can eat more than one pack of
instant noodles. This study aims to determine and analyze the choice of students of
SMART Ekselensia Indonesia junior high school for two types of instant noodles (soup
and fried) in a certain mood. In this study, researchers conducted a questionnaire
research method (questionnaire) and interview respondents. Questionnaires were
distributed as many as 54 samples to 18 students who were 13 years old, 18 students
who were 14 years old, and 18 students who were 15 years old of students of SMART
Ekselensia Indonesia junior high school. These students were chosen because they were
expressive students so that they showed a strong mood in choosing something. From
this it can be seen the influence of mood on the choice of types of noodles to be eaten
and the age factor on the quality of students' mood eating. The results showed that the
mood and choice of noodles had a significant relationship, and age was one of the
factors that influenced students' mood eating.
