Abstract

Rat animals are disgusting animals for some people. In addition to disgusting
mice also often damage home appliances and its presence is considered to interfere
with comfort. Usually mice live in waterways, rice fields, underground and others.
Because its existence is considered disturbing, it is not uncommon for people to use
various methods to repel or prevent the presence of mice. One way that people believe
in is by maintaining crickets because of the many assumptions that claim that the
sound of crickets can drive away mice
The study was conducted by directly observing the behavior of four mice when
hear crickets in the same place for several hours. Four mice and a cricket sound source
separated by a divider. This research was conducted twice. In each experiment two
sources of cricket sound were used as a comparison namely cricket sounds obtained
directly from crickets and cricket sound recordings. After conducting the experiment
twice, it was found that the sound of crickets can indeed drive away the presence of
mice, because the frequency produced by crickets interferes with the mouse's hearing.
