ANTARA CANDU DAN RINDU AROMA KOTORAN PADA TEPIAN KUKU IBU JARI KAKI (BETWEEN ADDICTION AND MISSING THE SMELL OF TOENAILS )

Abstract

Habit is an action that is done repeatedly and also an unvolunteery respond that are done without thinking. One of the habit in the society is cutting a nail. Cutting nail is a normal thing that everybody does, but the unique things from cutting nail is when we smell our underside of toenails smell. That is why we are doing a research with the title “BETWEEN ADDICTION AND MISSING THE SMELL OF TOENAILS”. The purpose of this research was to know whether a teenager likes to smell their toenails smell, to know the reason why and also to educate about how to clean up the underside of toenails to prevent us from sickness. This research is also useful to prove that not only us and the reader that likes to smell the toenails smell. Research method that were used was a questionnaire in the google form and distributed through whatsapp and other social media. The subject of this research was 125 respondents with the range of age between 15 until 18 years old. The result of this research shows that: 1) The intensity of cutting nail is different among people depend on the growth of nails and the needs of each person. 2) Almost everyone clean up the dirt on their toenails. 3) Almost all respondent smell their toenail’s smell. 4) Most of the respondent smells their toenail because of their curiousity. 5) Most of the respondent smells their toenail from their cutted nail. 6) The habit of smelling the toenail’s mostly caused by their own action that then turns into habit. Smelling the toenail’s smell can be addictive and after a while could become a habit. This thing cannot be classified as weird, because most of the respondents had or maybe often do this activity. So that, this habit is not some taboo things in the society. Lastly, keeping our nails clean is very important and we also have to learn more about how to cut our nails and how to keep it clean correctly and safely.
